OUR COMMITMENT
We want people to be able to use our digital experiences independently and effectively.
Accessibility is considered as part of the way we design, develop, review, and improve this website. We work to reduce barriers for people who navigate and interact in different ways, including people who use keyboards, screen readers, magnification, voice input, touch, and other assistive technologies.
We also recognize that accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. Digital content, technologies, and standards continue to evolve, so we expect to review and improve our website over time.
OUR ACCESSIBILITY TARGET
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
We design and evaluate the AccessTekIT website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We also aim to satisfy Level AAA success criteria where they are practical and appropriate for the experience.
Meeting selected Level AAA success criteria does not mean that the entire website conforms to WCAG at Level AAA. We will not claim blanket Level AAA conformance unless the complete conformance scope satisfies every applicable Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA success criterion.
HOW WE SUPPORT ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility is evaluated in more than one way.
Our approach combines appropriate automated checks with manual review and testing of structure, content, keyboard interaction, responsive behaviour, focus, forms, and other interface patterns. Where relevant, we also evaluate experiences with assistive technologies.
- Semantic structure and meaningful content relationships
- Keyboard access and visible focus
- Screen reader and assistive technology considerations
- Text resizing, zoom, reflow, and responsive layouts
- Colour, contrast, links, controls, forms, and error handling
- Images, documents, and multimedia where they form part of the experience
Automated tools can identify some accessibility issues, but they cannot determine accessibility on their own. Human review remains an important part of our evaluation process.
Completed manual checks include the contact form with NVDA, keyboard operation, error and success announcements, and browser zoom at 200% and 400%. Site-wide verification continues; these checks do not establish full WCAG conformance.
KNOWN ACCESSIBILITY ISSUES
We want to be transparent when something does not work as expected.
We aim to identify and address accessibility barriers as part of our ongoing review of the AccessTekIT website. When we identify a known issue that may affect access or use, we will document significant limitations here while we work toward an appropriate resolution.
Recent updates have addressed identified issues with contrast, main-content structure, and navigation consistency. Further site-wide verification is in progress. This statement describes our accessibility target; it is not a declaration of full conformance. Please report any barrier you encounter using the contact details below.
Some third-party services or content may be outside our direct control. When those services are required, we will consider accessibility when selecting and configuring them and will look for practical alternatives when a barrier is identified.
ACCESSIBILITY FEEDBACK
Tell us if you encounter an accessibility barrier.
If something on this website is difficult to access, understand, navigate, or operate, please contact us. It is helpful if you can tell us the page or feature involved, what happened, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, if you are comfortable providing that information.
We will review accessibility feedback and use it to help identify appropriate next steps.
